Quentin's Garden

Quentin's Garden

The Falcon Heights city council shut down Quentin Nguyen’s front yard vegetable garden in 2020. The city council's edict forced Quentin, a Vietnamese immigrant, to abandon his plans after he had already removed the sod from his sizable front yard. I produced a "Support Quentin's Garden" sign to display as the council researched the issue and formulated rules about growing vegetables in homeowners' front yards. The sign featured a beet/tomato hybrid.

I posted people's comments about the controversy on my artist facebook page.

In December of 2021 the Falcon Heights City Council voted 5-0 to allow edible vegetation in property owners' front yards.
